They've topped the seedings both years, with the Pirates' last loss coming against Erasmus in Week 4 this season. The Nets, on the other hand, have a spot in the playoffs, having beaten No. 14 Thomas Jefferson only once this season.

Pirates face Curtis

The Pittsburgh Penguins were in Maine yesterday to take on the Portland Pirates, who have a brand new look. They will need to keep out Andy Miele, M-A Pouliot and others if they are to win. Toms River North hosts Curtis

The Toms River East football schedule tomorrow is a must-see. The team went 20-68 over the past nine seasons, but started the 2010 season 9-0 and went on to win the Shore Conference's American Division title. The next stop for the Warriors will be a matchup with Toms River North, which is ranked fifth in the Shore Conference.
